National Athletic Village – The NAV facility includes sport courts, biking trails, obstacle courses, a gym and more. Join us for a family outing, date night, day camp, or event!

Sunrise Theater – Every town needs an old theater. Entertaining locals since the 40’s, this one goes above and beyond! They play a mix of current and older movies, host an outdoor movie series during the summer, and sometimes offer live shows.

Sandhills Horticultural Gardens –  A beautiful green space composed of local and unique plants located in Southern Pines. With nearly two dozen themed gardens, this is a popular site for events, but during the day people come to enjoy the peace of nature and fresh air.

Southern Pines Escape– Located conveniently downtown and with three room themes to pick from, this escape room offers all who enter a fun and challenging adventure!

Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities– It has been an escape to nature for townsfolk since its early beginnings in the 1900’s. It is an ideal destination for a quiet stroll along the trails and a breath of fresh air. Today it doubles as a cultural center. They host social and educational events you might want to check out while visiting!

Moore County Hounds – When visiting Twin Fields Farm, you may hear some faint barking off in the distance. The farm is located near Moore County Hounds, which has been a unique part of Southern Pine’s culture for generations. Take a tour of their kennel, or if you are in town on Thanksgiving, join them for their annual opening meeting and see how the hounds run!

Reservoir Park – Centered around a beautiful lake, this park is free for you to come and enjoy every day of the year. The park boasts 12 miles of hiking and biking trails, a natural disc golf course, fishing and a boat ramp with boat and kayak dock. The main loop around the lake is about 2 miles long – the perfect route for walkers and runners.

Breweries, bars, and lounges– Southern Pines downtown has a vibrant nightlife scene! Most of the breweries and bars are within walking distance of each other. A few of the breweries even make some of their beers in house. Many of them offer live music on the weekends and bring in a variety of artists for patrons to enjoy!

Shopping – Southern Pines, Pinehurst, and Aberdeen have warm and inviting downtowns filled with all sorts of shops! There are clothing stores catered to a variety of styles, furniture and décor stores, bakeries and little coffee shops, wine shops, and much more. There is also a wide array of antique stores and during the spring and summer, farmer’s markets that not just local farmers partake in, but some local businesses too!

Golf – If you are a golfer, you came to the right place! There are 32 golf courses in the Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Aberdeen and Whispering Pines combined. Many of them are in close range to each other, but offer all players a unique experience.

Tennis – In the heart of Southern Pines, Downtown Park has courts available for public use; First come, first serve style!
